A telemedicine cart is used to perform telemedicine where a doctor performs a consultation with a patient where both are in different locations to each other. The patient and doctor communicate through two screens that are at the seating height on the cart. In addition, the cart is equipped with a high-performance computer and other electronic equipment that enables a doctor to make notes, perform remote consultations, monitor health services as they are provided to a patient, for teaching, and any other work that would otherwise require their physical presence.
It interacts with a hospital’s computer network through a Wi-Fi connection that enables the doctor to access and modify a patient’s health record. These devices enable remote consultation with patients and means that doctors can provide their services where medical services are otherwise unavailable because of their remote location of the patient.
