Going all out during workouts is just half the battle. The other half is the recovery which lets you bounce back better than ever. If you neglect this, then you won’t be able to sustain the hard training.
Take rest seriously. Sleep at least eight hours every night whenever possible. Go to bed early and put away your phone. Find a routine that encourages you to slumber such as listening to a podcast, an audio book, or nature sounds.
Meet with a physiotherapist as often as you can for routine checks, sports massage, and chronic injury rehab. You can also use tools for self-massage if you can’t afford regular physio appointments. Consider foam rollers and balls.
It would be even better if you can get an active massage gun as you don’t need to apply pressure. Just place it above the problem area and adjust the settings.
