Different types of hardware devices are needed to connect computers, servers, printers, and other electronic systems to a network. All such items are known as network devices. These systems help transfer data properly, securely, and quickly. The data can be transferred to one or multiple networks. These devices can connect computers and peripherals in the same room. Large network systems connect lots of electronic devices in office, commercial and industrial locations. This type of setup requires hundreds of network items.
Modem is the most well-known network device. It enables computers to send and receive data over cable or telephone lines. A modem converts digital signals into analog one at the sender end while another modem at the receiver end converts this analog signal back into the digital one. RJ45 connector is used to physically connect local systems to Ethernet-based LAN. The LAN and Ethernet cables have RJ45 connector pins on both sides. Many other devices are needed to make a network system functional and operational.
