By watching yourself making a putt and checking out your gripping of the putter, the stance of your legs and hip rotation when making the putt, then watching where the ball ends up, if not in the hole you can start by making changes in all three and play around with changing the grip until you get the result or closest result possible, then change your stance with the same idea in mind then adjust your hip rotation and see where and how it all ends up.
