Darlinghurst is a weirdly shaped pocket suburb wedged between Kings Cross and Surry Hills in Sydney, Australia. It has a unique character and contains within it galleries, an art school, boutiques and an eclectic mix of restaurants and bars. It has a style and feeling unlike anywhere else in the city and is the home of a wide variety of fine dining establishments.
You can get a $10 Bolgnese or the finest Japanese sushi or a rare example of modern Filipino cusine there. It is also home to one of Sydney’s oldest restaurants and another inspired by the rapper Notorious B.I.G as well as tiny izakaya joints and whiskey bars (though they probably don’t serve food there)..
In short Darlinghusrt food is varied, eclectic, international, spicy, modern, nouveau, playful (in fact any type you can think of) and is worth checking out when you’re in the inner city.
