Would you like to host a Disc Golf Tournament but have no clue where to start? The Disc Golf Events Team has put together three tips to help you plan and execute your Disc Golf Event.
1) Find a Location: You should pick an outdoor location so that everyone can play Disc Golf in the natural environment. You should also test out the course before event day because there are many factors, such as wind direction, which may impact how difficult or easy it is for players of all skill levels. Finally, make sure that the location has plenty of parking space available for players and spectators!
2) Create Sponsorships: Creating sponsorships is one way to help offset some of the cost associated with hosting Disc Golf Events. You should reach out to your Discs & Disc Dudes sponsors and see what they can offer you, as well as any other local Disc Golf retailers in the area.
3) Create Disc Golf Tournaments: Finally, make sure that you have a clear plan for the event day. It would be best to publicize your tournament in advance to help build momentum and get more players out on the course.
