Disc Golf Australia is a sport that has been played in the country for more than 30 years. DiscGolfAustralia is an organization that makes this sport accessible to everyone and provides support for Disc Golfer’s clubs and associations. It is a fun and challenging activity, but it can be challenging to find out where you should start if you are new to this great game!
What should I know about this?
It is played in a similar way to traditional golf. Discs are thrown from a tee area towards a target using the fewest throws possible. However, unlike regular golf, it’s not about how far you can hit your ball but rather where it lands and what obstacles have been put on its path that will determine success or failure! DiscGolfAustralia has compiled a list with all the basic rules for Disc Golfers:
- The player who hits their disc into an out-of-bounds zone receives three penalty throws (plus one throw per additional OB they land in).
If there isn’t another player around, players must pick up their discs after each shot unless there is a marshal present.
We hope this information has been helpful to you.
